Lambda Sensors, Oxygen Sensors

Vehicle Oxygen sensors, also known as lambda sensors, are electronic devices that measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust fumes that are produced by a vehicles engine.

In modern vehicles, there are two oxygen sensors in the exhaust system, one before the catalytic converter, known as the regulatory sensor, and one after the catalytic converter, known as the diagnostic sensor.
